The film is based on Mark Greaney’s debut novel of the same name, which was published in Italy in 2009 under the title Three days for a crime. James Rollins, one of the most successful authors of the new adventure fiction, called it “a book that has the effect of a bullet in the chest”.

The plot

The plot revolves around the most skilled mercenary recruited by the CIA: Court Gentry, aka Sierra Six, who accidentally uncovers some secrets of the spy agency. For this, he is hunted around the world by a former psychopathic colleague, Lloyd Hansen, who has put a price on his head.

Late development

The feature film was supposed to become a reality soon after filming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but the success of this one and the consequent engagements of the two directors within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) slowed things down. “We should have shot it after the Marvel Studios movie.
