Moscow believes a meeting with Joe Biden is possible. The G7 alongside Ukraine and Zelensky relaunches: “No dialogue with Putin, talks only possible with another leader”. Mass grave and torture chamber discovered in Donetsk. Medvedev threatens the world
Russian Foreign Minister Sergej Lavrov opens a face to face between Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden. But Volodymyr Zelensky is not there: “Only talks with another leader in power”. A torture chamber discovered in Sviatohirsk, Donetsk. And other mass graves sprout. Almost 30% of the Ukrainian energy structures affected by the bombing. The G7 alongside Ukraine. Germany delivers an air defense system. And Dmitri Medvedev, vice president of the Security Council, threatens: “If missiles are supplied for a long time to Kiev, world war will break out”. – photo | video 1 | video 2 | video 3
WAR FRONT – New horrors in Donetsk, where the authorities have exhumed 78 corpses, including those of some children, as reported by the Attorney General of Kiev. Another 34 bodies were exhumed in Sviatohirsk, also in Donetsk. A torture chamber was also found here. At the Cnn, Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko says nearly 30% of the country’s energy infrastructure was hit by Russian missiles in two days. And the north of the Chernihiv region was left without electricity. These are, in particular, the districts of the homonymous city, Koryukiv and Novgorod-Siversky. Despite the reconstruction of the roads proceeding swiftly, even in just 24 hours as in Dnipro, and despite an exchange of prisoners that led to the release of 32 soldiers from Kiev, the Russian attacks do not stop. Zelensky himself accounts for this in his evening video to the nation, speaking of a “second wave of terrorist attacks against Ukraine”. The raids were allegedly carried out with “28 missiles, of which 20 shot down” and “more than 15 drones, almost all Iranian. Most have been shot down. The restoration work is taking place fairly quickly and efficiently throughout the country. Had it not been for today’s attacks, they would have already restored the electricity, water and communications that the terrorists damaged yesterday. And today Russia will only get one thing: it will delay our recovery a bit. But where there has been destruction, the infrastructure will be rebuilt everywhere ”. Then, he launches Odessa’s candidacy as a World Heritage Site with a video to the UN: “Odessa, like all other cities in Ukraine, is the target of Russian bombing. Please support Odessa! Clearly show at the UNESCO level that the Russian terror must end ”.
THE WORDS OF THE AMBASSADOR – The Italian ambassador to Kiev, Pierfrancesco Zazo, speaking to the microphones of Door to door, does not hide the extreme amazement for the bombing of the capital: “The missile attack on Kiev by the Russians was a real shock. In recent months, life in the Ukrainian capital had returned to a more or less normal life. It was a rude awakening to reality ”. Zazo considers it “certainly an act of retaliation for the Ukrainian action of the bombing of the Kerch bridge. But no one expected the Russians to attack Kiev, which has always been considered the spiritual and religious capital of the Russian world ”. Today and tomorrow, the defense ministers of NATO countries will discuss “ways to continue strengthening NATO’s posture of defense and deterrence, namely the deployment of other combat-ready forces in Eastern Europe along the eastern flank and ensuring a greater integration of a wide range of capabilities ”as the American ambassador to NATO, Julianne Smith, says. And second Der Spiegel Germany reportedly handed over to Ukraine the air defense system Zelensky had long requested.
HYPOTHESIS MEETING BETWEEN BIDEN AND PUTIN – Interviewed by the program 60 minutes of the tv channel Rossiya-1, Russian Foreign Minister Sergej Lavrov, responding to a question about a hypothetical meeting between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 in Indonesia, says: “We have repeatedly said that we never refuse meetings. The idea that the president of the United States is ready for such a meeting is based solely on his ‘we’ll see’ answer to a question ”. But Zelensky relaunches with a highly unlikely hypothesis, which removes any glimmer of peace, addressing those of the G7: “There can be no dialogue with the current Russian leader, who has no future. We have to recognize this obviousness. There can be talks only with another leader of Russia, who respects the UN Charter, the fundamental principles of humanity and the territorial integrity of Ukraine, or in a different configuration, so that the terrorist leader does not have the ‘opportunity to influence key decisions ”.
THE G7 AND THE THREATS OF MEDVEDEV – The vice-president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, returns to threaten the West. And he writes on Telegram: “The fastest way to escalate the conflict in Ukraine to the irreversible consequences of a world war is to provide Kiev psychopaths with a long-range MLRS.” For his part, Joe Biden, to the Cnn he talks about Putin’s speech at the time of the invasion: “I think he thought he would be welcomed with open arms, that Mother Russia was at home in Kiev, that he would be welcome and I think he simply miscalculated completely.” The G7 sides with Kiev and attacks Belarus, which it considers Moscow’s “complicit”. As for the bombing of the population, “we condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms. Indiscriminate attacks on innocent civilians constitute war crimes. We will ask President Putin and those responsible for it ”. The president of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen summarizes the issue in a tweet: “The G7 condemns Russia’s escalation of violence against civilians in Ukraine. We will stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary and we have strengthened our sanctions against Russia. Belarus’s support for Russia’s aggression must have consequences. We also discussed actions to reduce energy prices ”. On Thursday, Putin will meet Turkish President Recep Tayyp Erdogan in Astana, who does not lose hope for mediation.
