Adriana Arango Munoz is a journalist and presenter who enjoyed great recognition on Colombian television, but she moved away from the screens due to legal problems that led her to the El Buen Pastor prison in Bogotawhere he was for more than nine months.

The communicator from Antioquia, who was part of spaces such as ‘Big Brother‘ (2003) and ‘three points apart‘ (2002), was behind bars for an investigation carried out by the Attorney General’s Office against her and her husband Javier Coywith whom he started a business to export flowers and coffee to countries like the United States, Russia, Chile and England.

The Entity’s investigations began in 2008 and concluded in 2009 that these two people illegally raised money and affected more than 200 people. In addition, it became clear that the company owed an amount greater than the 10,000 million pesos to these investors and never paid them back.

Finally, Adriana Arango was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, although she paid most of this sentence at home, alleging that she had minor children, and she was released in mid-2015.

However, it took another seven years for the 57-year-old from Medellin to dare to speak publicly about what has happened to her life after this experience.

Through an interview with ‘I know everything’, an entertainment program on Channel 1, Arango said that now she spends her time giving talks and performing other tasks, and for this reason she is totally isolated from the media.

“I give resilience talks, I work independently and I am, as I say, in airplane mode and dedicated to living life much more relaxed. I have no interest in going back to the media to give bad news, although they have changed a lot, like social networks, ”she said.

According to Adriana, there are still people who recognize her when they see her on the street, although she also admitted that she is not in the memory of the youngest viewers | Photo: Instagram @adrianarangom

In another part of her conversation with “I know everything”, the woman commented that for 20 years she has suffered from pain in certain parts of her body and everything got worse, according to her, due to the electronic bracelet that the INPEC (National Penitentiary and Prison Institute) put him to control her when she was serving her sentence at home.

“I have problems with my knees, shoulders, because I had an electronic handcuff when I was deprived of liberty and that electromagnetic charge took its toll on my body,” she added.

Arango also mentioned that her joints tend to become inflamed, causing paralysis and that her hands deteriorate, which makes it difficult for her to carry out activities of daily life that may seem simple to anyone, such as closing a curtain or answering a phone.

Finally, Adriana Arango told “I know everything” that, just as she did Hope Gomez (adult film actress who has hip problems), entered stem cell treatment to be able to treat and end these conditions.

“With that despair of pain, of frustration, of being able to cook or even move, I said I am going to explore that and with the healthy cells of my body I can regenerate parts of my body, they inject them and after months it begins to create new tissue , thanks to this process I can move and I am very happy, “concluded the journalist.
