For Plutarch Haza It has been a year of telling different audiences, those of the theater, open television and the platforms of streamingdifferent stories with challenging characters, such as “Rafael López Montes”, the murderous villain of No man’s wifethe recently completed telenovela starring Livia Brito and Marcus Ornellas.

About this project and others that have the actor “very happy and lucky” he talked with Infobae Mexico and reflected on the role of soap operas in an audience that is increasingly “bombarded” by an endless supply of possibilities.

“I feel very lucky, very happy with the reaction of the public. I had not been in Televisa and to be able to enter with a role in prime time makes me very happy. Just finished and started where there was fireI feel that this is a great year because I will be very present in people’s homes”, Said the actor who prefers complex characters full of contradictions over “virtuous ones”.

“Honestly in soap operas what I enjoy the most are the villains because the good ones have to play dumb for a long time for the story to continue, they have to ignore a lot of things, they are a virtuous being and instead the antagonists are more nuanced and more fun.

And a mysterious villain is “Noe Serrano”, whom Plutarco brings to life in where there was firethe Mexican-produced telenovela-series created by director José Ignacio Valenzuela, which in its opening week it was positioned as the most watched on the platform of streamingwhich was shot to a high standard in production and special effects.

“It was recorded between August and November of last year, it was very complicated, very complex because despite being a melodrama, a telenovela, it had to have all the production values of TV series. Netflixysif there is a fire it had to be like a hollywood movieyou see action, it had many complexities, but you see it in the result, we are in first place in the audience and I really did not expect that so soon”, he said regarding the story that says “to be a tribute to those men and women who they risk their lives” and is developed from a fire station in Mexico City.

Haza plays a retired policeman, on whom one of the mysteries of the plot falls, a character with a duality that he represented for the actor a double challenge not to reveal the enigmas of history where he shares credits with Itatí Cantoral, Eduardo Capetillo and Polo Morín, which also represents a strong commitment by the platform to revolutionize the Mexican telenovela genre.

“I created my character with a lot of research, with a lot of imagination too, and the difficult thing about this character is How to do an thriller where there is a psychopath on the loose and not knowing who he isthe difficulty of the suspects, those of us who acted the suspects, as in my case, how difficult it was to be able to hide it very well when it had to be hidden and to be able to deceive the public when it had to be deceived”.

“Suddenly there are certain chapters where my character has to seem like the victim, and you had to act it out without leaving the logic of the character and there were times when you had to act to make it look like he was the culprit and you also had to do it without losing logic, those were the complexities of this character and fit was incredible to be able to do it and now see it on screen”, affirmed the actor, who recognized the projection and impact of the genre at a continental level.

“I feel very happy to have achieved this half tone, which It is a hybrid between series and telenovela, I think that when you hit it, you reach a gigantic audience because whether we like it or not, people like soap operas, no matter how much they watch a series, the squid game or something like that, people always return, in Latin America especially, to the soap opera”.
