Roku, considered the top platform in TV in Mexico for hours of streaming playback, has confirmed the arrival of The Roku Channel in Mexico, a streaming channel that will be available for free on Roku devices, and in which users will be able to access a catalog of international movies and TV episodes , including exclusive access to more than 30 Roku Originals productions.
Roku reported that “The Roku Channel” will be available to its users starting today, October 13, who have a Roku device or a Roku TV model, no need to have an account or need to subscribe. The selection of entertainment includes a varied offer that starts from films such as “The Smurfs in the Lost Village”, “Blade Runner 2049”, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, “American Psycho”, “Draft Day”, “The Patriot”, “The Light Side of Life”, “A Chance of Hamburgers 2”, “Men in Black II”, “Whip It” , among other productions.
“Launching The Roku Channel in Mexico represents a pivotal moment for our business as we continue our international expansion and offer streaming consumers free access to great entertainment and news content. At launch, Roku users in Mexico will be able to enjoy Roku Originals as “Operación Marea Negra”, “Natural Born Narco” and “Mamás”, as well as the already announced “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story”, which will have its premiere on the new platform on November 4, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Evan Rachel Wood, Rainn Wilson, among others, under the direction of Eric Appel.
Another point that Ruku highlights from its platform is the live television offer, since in addition to on-demand programming, “The Roku Channel” it also offers more than 25 different channels in this type of live content, including Telefórmula, Canela TV, Novelisima, and Runtime Español.
