In the Apaneca neighborhood, in the Las Flores neighborhood, in Chalchuapa, Santa Ana, the house of Hugo Ernesto Chávez Osorio is located, a place where dozens of murders were committed and it was also the house that served the former police officer as a hiding place for the corpses. of his victims.
Its facade is still intact: a green painted wall and a faded black gate. The false sky half fallen due to the passage of time and the lack of maintenance.
Inside, the walls are a pastel yellow. The rooms that make up the house are spacious.
Passing a small corridor is the patio. Currently filled with withered grass.
In that place Chávez Osorio, also known as the Chalchuapa psychopath, had made clandestine graves. He dug approximately four meters deep to deposit, in a pile, the remains of the people he murdered.
At the end of the house, crossing the patio, there is a room painted in the same green as the façade. On each side of the door are two rectangular windows.
In that room were medals, a figure of Santa Muerte and women’s belongings.
On May 8, 2021, Mirna Cruz Lima, 57, and her daughter Jacqueline Cristina Palomo Lima, 26, were found dead inside the psychopath’s house. The bodies presented blows to the skull, apparently caused with blunt objects.
When they were found, they had not been buried for long in Chávez Osorio’s yard.
The authorities arrested the ex-policeman inside the house, after apparently trying to kill himself by cutting both wrists.
Along with Mirna and Jacqueline were dozens of bodies, some with up to two years of decomposition, as revealed by the renowned forensic Israel Ticas.
The house spent several months guarded by police, military and forensic criminologists, who did hard work to extract the bodies and bones from the graves.
On this day, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) carried out an extinction of ownership of the property and informed that it will pass in favor of the State and will be administered by the National Asset Administration Council (CONAB).
Likewise, this morning the preliminary hearing was held against nine people who are being accused of nine femicides and three aggravated homicides, related to the crimes committed by Hugo Osorio.
